The Design
A shaggy Highland cow in a Considerama trucker hat stands with a raven perched on its shoulder, drawn in a detailed, distressed engraving style. It’s a little rugged, a little whimsical, and quietly full of meaning.
Consider This
“For every beast of the forest is Mine—the cattle on a thousand hills.”
— Psalm 50:10 (BSB)
“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.”
— Luke 12:6 (BSB)
In Psalm 50, God reminds His people that He doesn’t need anything from them. Every animal in the forest already belongs to Him, and in the very next line He says He knows every bird of the mountains.
Jesus takes that thought somewhere tender. In Matthew’s Gospel, two sparrows sell for a penny. In Luke, five sell for two pennies. Buy four, and the fifth gets thrown in for free. Not even that one, Jesus says, is forgotten by God. Then He tells His listeners not to be afraid, because they are worth more than many sparrows.
And the raven? A few verses later, Jesus tells the same crowd to consider the ravens, because God feeds them too.
Maybe you feel like the extra sparrow, the one nobody was counting. God counted. You’re known by name.
Consider: Where do you feel overlooked, and what changes if God hasn’t overlooked you at all?
For animal lovers, farm kids, and anyone who needs a gentle reminder that they matter.
