Some days need a little reassurance, and perhaps a raccoon playing a lute.
The Design
A bright watercolor town spills across this shirt: golden domes topped with crosses, a raven perched on the highest spire, stars scattered across the sky, and a sailboat drifting on sparkling water. Children dance on a hillside with their arms raised. A red panda lounges on a garden wall, a raccoon strums a lute, and a young elephant, a bunny, and a little lamb join the celebration. Look closely and you’ll find a tiny hidden message on one of the walls: “You are loved.” Above it all: “It’s gonna be okay. Permission to have a happy day,” with Ecclesiastes 3:12.
Consider This
“I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and do good while they live.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:12 (BSB)
Ecclesiastes is the most honest book in the Bible about how hard life can be. Its writer has seen injustice, grief, wasted effort, and how quickly everything passes. Much of it, he says, is like vapor: here one moment, gone the next.
And yet, right in the middle of all that honesty, he lands here: there’s nothing better than to rejoice and do good. In the very next verse, he calls the simple joy of eating, drinking, and enjoying your work a gift of God. A few lines earlier, he says God has made everything beautiful in its time.
That’s the permission slip on this shirt. Joy isn’t denial, and it isn’t pretending hard things aren’t hard. It’s receiving the good gifts in front of you today, while you trust God with the rest. And the message hidden on that wall is the reason it’s gonna be okay: not because every circumstance will turn out the way we hope, but because the One holding it all loved us enough to send His Son.
Consider: What good gift is in front of you today that you have permission to enjoy?
An uplifting gift for anyone who could use a little more color, joy, and encouragement.
Because sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is receive the day as a gift, and trust that it’s gonna be okay.
